On Sunday 14th Xewkija Tigers played their third pre-season friendly of the season when they faced Maltese outfits Swieqi United and Hamrun Spartans in a 45-minute triangular tournament.  All matches were played at the Gozo Stadium.

In the first match Xewkija Tigers beat Swieqi United by the single goal which was scored by striker William Cassar.  In the second match Swieqi United succumbed to another defeat as they were beaten by Hamrun Spartans 2-1 after taking the lead.

In the decisive match the Spartans made sure they won the tournament when with a nearly full strength squad they beat the Tigers 3-1 with the Xewkija goal coming from John Camilleri.
